Such a legit place in Soho, walking distance from my hotel. One of the hotel members told me about this: after 8 p.m. all the amazing hot Japanese food, is 50% off, which is awesome. I went there. Wow, it's such an amazing collection of sushi and hot foods. I got: - a gyudon (grilled beef don) - a salmon teriyaki don - all of them masubi's (they have about 10 different kinds of masubi's: spicy crab, lobster teriyaki, like a ton) It's pretty awesome. You guys should definitely check out. Highly recommended, five stars all across, and the team is just awesome, great hospitality. Feels like I'm back in Japan, all the great Japanese food and products here, outside of just the hot foods themselves, which is clutch, and a cold night check it

The sushi rolls were very fresh and at a great price of $12 for 16 pieces. Also has a variety of Japanese foods items, would recommend!
Every single night at 8pm, people line up to get sushi, bentos, onigiri, and more at 50% off from Genkiya Mart, a Japanese grocery store in SoHo. Come a bit earlier to choose what items you want for dinner (or lunch the next day) and wait until 8pm to check out. There’s going to be a long checkout line, but it moves fast! The staff are friendly, the mart is well organized, and there are two clean tables inside that you can eat at. The avocado they use in their food items is so creamy and soft. This may be one of the best sushi deals in NYC and is a solid option for a quick grab-and-go meal in Manhattan. What we got: (2) sushi boxes: eel avocado & spicy tuna with salmon avocado (1) rice dish: chicken karaage don (2) onigiris: Shrimp tempura & lobster onigiri Total: $22.50 after 8pm
Came across this place while I was just walking in the city, and I was thoroughly impressed with their selection and assortment of meals. They had people replacing the sushi as I walked in, and had a wide selection of Onigiri and meal boxes for reasonable prices. They also had a wide selection of imported goods such as chips and sauces for reasonable prices, with a lot of goods that I've never seen before.
